A Breakfast Joint

Time and time again I have driven by someplace new and never stopped in to satisfy my curiosity. As I waved the red flag across my husbands face, War declared in my eyes, the car came to a halt. Triumphantly my heart danced as he was going to take a risk and jump head first into uncharted goodness.
The Hog Wild Cafe. Located in quiet Sparks, came to inhabit the dwelling of a famous pancake joint, and with a less than thrilling sign, was going to be Take Down central. Starved and ready we calmly bombard thru the glass doors and are taken back with shock.
The Hog so proudly displayed on the center counter, in the center of the door way, in the center of your eye line, looked familiar. Being fans of the great Nuggett Rib Cookoff, we know our hogs, and this one was like a  big hairy Wilber. BJ's Barbecue Co. A great hero to the sport, they have now turned to breakfast? HOLLA!
Excited to see whats on the slab, a very friendly but a little over dressed, greeter seats us quickly. The menu, small but intriguing. Items like burgers, salads, eggs and just in between. Unable to decide what to nosh, I opt for a burger with jalapenos and a cherry barbecue sauce. My husband, breakfast. A tea plate size, thick and crunchy chicken fried steak, eggs, home potatoes in white gravy.
The wait. Tic toc. tic toc. Was long and long. 35 minutes. Granted the place was almost full, and our waitress was a bit ignoring, it was LONG! I half gave up, until out of the corner i see our girl, gliding on air with plates a bountiful. Whith convicti9n of a woman at the brink, I dive in. Now as I look up My husbands face glows with happiness, and as I glance down notice an eye lash inside my bun atop a softened onion. MMM, nothing screams lovin like DNA. That did not detour me, all grossness removed (thoroughly), I let the devouring commence. The burger was good, i would have liked more heat ( I have a high tolerance) and more cherry sauce could barely taste it. The fries, well they were sad and limp, reminded me of thew art of Tim Burton.
My husband was kind, and full, enough to give me a little taste of everything. WOW! Everything was great. Everything. The best gravy, home made peppered bacon, steak I have ever had. I am becoming a huge fan already. Price, about average. total bill about $30. I recommend stopping her and fill the tank. They make sure you walk away full.
